If you’re anything like me and approximately 98% of the student population, you probably consider coffee to be a food group, regularly eat two-minute noodles for dinner and probably couldn’t tell the difference between a cucumber and zucchini (I mean, they’re both just long green vegetables, right?).

But if you want to be able to study at your best, it might be time to pay attention to what you’re putting into your body. Next time you’re doing a study sesh, trying noshing on some of these goodies.
Protein
You might think protein is just for gym bros, but the truth is protein is required for more than just those #gainz. It’s essential for optimal brain function, so make sure you’re eating plenty of meat, fish or chicken. And for the vegos and vegans out there, fill up on nuts, beans and legumes.
Omega 3s
These brain-loving fats are perfect for getting those neurons firing! Get your dose from oily fish, flaxseeds and walnuts.
Caffeine
Hooray, coffee! Despite what health scaremongers might tell you, caffeine is actually perfectly healthy – in moderate amounts. So just be careful you don’t go overboard, and try to avoid adding sugar or nasty artificial sweeteners.
