Time management is one of the foundational skills of productivity and work-life balance. Time management is a skill that comes naturally to some, and not-so naturally to others… However, it is a skill that you can easily improve on, and it will probably make your life a lot less stressful around exam periods or busy work times!
Here are some time management tips that are set to improve your productivity…
Goal Setting.
Break down whatever task you have to do into little goals, to make it more manageable in certain time periods. Breaking down big projects into reasonable and achievable goals for work and study makes completing tasks effectively and efficiently a lot easier.
Prioritisation.
Make sure you get your priorities clear! A lot of people often prioritise the easier tasks, or whatever is in front of them at the time. However, it’s a lot more effective to think about which tasks need to be done first, rather than the tasks we want to do first. Analysing the urgency of everything we have to get done at school or at work makes sure that the important things will get done first and foremost!
Scheduling.
Don’t underestimate the value of a schedule or a calendar! Delegating time to certain tasks (and sticking to it) will keep you much more organised, and more aware of how much time you are spending on certain tasks.
If you’re balancing study and work, keeping on top of your time can be really hard. So, these time management tips are really important and will help you!
